The solid ash wood has a nice weight to it, so it doesn't slide around when my cat really goes at it. The varying heights fit both my big tabby and the kitten perfectly.

Our cat treats this like her own personal jungle gym—she hops from post to post all day. The solid ash wood feels incredibly sturdy and looks way nicer in our living room than I expected from a scratcher. Even the uneven heights seem to keep her entertained longer than the flat ones we’ve had before

The varied heights of the ash wood posts make it feel like a little forest in my living room, and my cat uses every single one of them. Assembly took me maybe five minutes, and it hasn't wobbled once even when she really launches herself at the top.
