The 18x14 size is perfect for my long-legged girl who refuses to curl up, and the thin cushion layer under the fabric is just enough for her to nap on the floor instead of the bed itself. She still prefers the cardboard box next to it, but at least the platform stays fur-free for guests.

My cat claimed this platform within minutes of me setting it up, and the cushioned layer under the fabric is just thick enough that she doesn't slide around when she flops onto it. She's a sprawler, so the 18x14 surface gives her plenty of room to stretch out without hanging over the edge.

My two cats fight over this bed every morning—that 18x14 platform is finally big enough for them to sprawl out side by side. The cushioned layer under the fabric is thin but surprisingly plush, and they’ve both been sleeping on it for hours instead of my laundry pile.
