The finish on the shelves is so smooth and the walnut tone fits right in with my living room decor. Installation was straightforward and the solid wood feels sturdy enough that I never worry when the cats launch themselves onto it.

My cats immediately claimed the top shelf as their throne, and honestly the clean modern lines make it look like a piece of gallery furniture rather than a cat toy. They jump up and down without any wobble, which says a lot since one of them is a chunk.

Solid wood and it actually looks like real furniture, not a cat tree, which is why I bought it. My cat took to the top shelf right away, though the mounting hardware was a bit fiddly to line up on my wall.
